Manitoba Hydro Telecom (MHT) seeks highly qualified individuals to join our diverse team of industry experts.
What we do
If you don’t know much about MHT, you’re not alone. Many Manitobans are operating on our network and don’t even know it! MHT is a local facilities-based, carrier-class telecom service provider. We create network solutions that help Manitoba organizations meet their goals.
Manitoba Hydro owns and operates an extensive carrier class data network throughout the province. The network is equipped with high capacity wavelength and next-generation Ethernet technology. This data network exists to support the critical functions of the bulk electric system, and through MHT the currently available capacity is leveraged to connect Manitobans.
As a business unit of Manitoba Hydro International Ltd., we extend data network infrastructure to offer an extensive range of commercial Internet and data network solutions to the private and public sector. We work with every major carrier, as well as almost every Internet service provider in Manitoba, to provide services such as:
- Dedicated Internet access;
- Wide area Ethernet services;
- Wavelength services;
- Tower colocation services;
- Data centre colocation services.

Outside Plant Team — Includes Fibre and Facilities Management, Fibre Plant and Facilities Specialists, Project Services Specialists, and Technical Project Coordinators.
Network Team — Includes Technical Operations Management, Network Architects, and Network Specialists.
Sales & Marketing Team — Includes Sales and Marketing Management, Account Specialists, Sales Representatives, and Project Coordinators.
